Scrap Mart accepts a range of scrap metal, including Aluminium, Batteries, Brass, Copper, Electric Motors, Fridge Motors, Industrial Air-Con Units, Lead, Mixed Metal, PVC Wire, Stainless Steel, Starter Motors and Alternator Motors, Steel and Zinc.
All materials are subject to inspection and approval before purchase. Scrap Mart reserves the right to refuse material that does not meet acceptance requirements.
Items not accepted include Alkaline Batteries, Asbestos, Biological Waste, Flammable Liquids, Gas Bottles, Lithium Batteries, Oil, and any other unsafe or prohibited material.

Scrap Mart is a licensed second-hand dealer under the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 2004. A current New Zealand driver's licence, passport or NZ 18+ card is required by law, and we must record identification from every seller. Material will not be purchased without valid identification.

Payments are calculated on the confirmed weight, grade and applicable pricing at the time of inspection. Payment is made by cash or bank transfer after the material has been inspected and approved. Scrap Mart aims to provide transparent weighing and grading. Final payment decisions are based on the assessment completed at the yard.

Used car batteries sold from the Auckland yard carry a three-month warranty from the date of purchase. Fitting may be available for an additional cost. Stock availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by the branch.
